As part of our Brook Street team, you'll play a key role in sharing that story with every customer who walks through our doors. We're looking for a warm, proactive Retail Assistant who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable in-store experiences.
What You'll Do
In this people-focused role, you'll be a vital part of our store team, helping customers feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Your day-to-day will include:
- Building a strong understanding of our product range and unique knitting heritage
- Delivering exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations
- Offering informed product advice and professional support at every interaction
- Managing customer transactions accurately using our till system
- Maintaining excellent shop floor standards, ensuring displays are tidy and beautifully presented
- Handling customer queries and complaints with professionalism and care
- Supporting stock management and taking part in stock counts when required
- Keeping the store clean, organised and safe for customers and colleagues
- Working flexibly with the team to maintain shop floor coverage
- Representing the brand by wearing and caring for John Smedley product in-store
- Following all health & safety and company policies
- Engaging in ongoing training to deepen product knowledge and service skills
