• Conduct ward rounds, clinics, and administrative duties on a weekly schedule.

Skills

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Locum Respiratory Consultant to cover a minimum 6-month contract with a possible extension.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a friendly and collaborative team.

Position: Consultant, Respiratory Medicine

• Start: ASAP – 6 months with possible extension
• Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00
• Cross-site cover between two sites less than 30 minutes apart
• Mileage for travel between sites can be reimbursed

Weekly Schedule:

• Monday: Ward Round (am) – approximately 1 in 3; Clinic (pm) – weekly
• Tuesday: MDT (am) – approximately 1 in 2; Board round (pm) – approximately 1 in 3
• Wednesday: Board round (am) – approximately 1 in 3; Admin/SPA (pm)
• Thursday: Clinic (am) – weekly; Board round (pm) – approximately 1 in 3; Admin/SPA (pm)
• Friday: Ward round (am) – approximately 1 in 3; Admin/SPA (pm)

HOT week (9-5): ED/AMU Respiratory post-take Ward Rounds, Respiratory HOT clinic, SDEC, Referrals, Advice and Guidance, Respiratory Hot phone advice (1 week in 10).

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience and interest in thoracic malignancy, interstitial lung disease, or ventilation
• Respiratory CCT or CESR (or eligible within 6 months)
