Based within Social Security Scotland's Resourcing Team the post holder will provide administrative support for specialist and non‑standard recruitment. The Resourcing Team is part of the wider People Services function in Social Security Scotland. Its principal role is to lead the recruitment of staff into the organisation in order for Social Security Scotland to deliver the benefits it has promised to the people of Scotland. The Resourcing Team works with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that recruitment is delivered against agreed timelines with the wider organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the organisation at careers fairs and liaise with employability providers to ensure an inclusive approach to attracting and assessing candidates.
  • Design and deliver engaging in‑person and virtual candidate information sessions to ensure applicants and panel members are well‑informed.
  • Set up engagement sessions and collate feedback from events or surveys.
  • Use Oracle's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to monitor and manage applicant data, track application progress and maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate tracker.
  • Assist with sift and interview logistics, including panel availability and scheduling.
  • Assist in providing guidance and support to hiring managers and panels throughout the recruitment process.
  • Monitor application data and maintain candidate trackers.
  • Schedule meetings and briefings with hiring managers and panels as required.
  • Line Management Responsibilities which includes managing performance and supporting staff with their personal development and training.
  • Assist with other admin duties as required.

If invited for further assessment this will consist of an interview and an assessment in the form of a presentation. These will be assessed on the Success Profiles detailed above.

Working Pattern

Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in one of our Social Security Scotland offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location which will be Agnes Husband House Dundee or 220 High Street Glasgow. Further Information

This role is only available to existing permanent civil servants who have successfully completed their probation period within Social Security Scotland or the broader Scottish Government. The successful candidate will be expected to remain in post for a minimum of 3 years unless successful in gaining promotion to a higher Band or Grade.
