Residential Support Worker | Secondary School | Blackpool

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team at a secondary school with residential provision in Blackpool. This is a vital and rewarding role for an individual committed to supporting the well-being and personal development of young people in a boarding or residential school environment.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an essential part of our pastoral team, providing support and supervision for students outside of normal school hours. Your role will involve creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students in our residential accommodation, helping them to develop independence and social skills.

Key responsibilities
  • Student Well-being: Acting as a key point of contact for students, offering emotional support and guidance.
  • Evening & Weekend Activities: Planning and leading a range of evening and weekend activities and excursions.
  • Supervision: Ensuring the safety and security of all students in the residential setting.
  • Daily Routines: Supporting students with their daily routines, including mealtimes, homework, and bedtime.
  • Safeguarding: Playing a crucial role in the school's safeguarding and child protection procedures.
