Mobile Warden - Resident Services - Part Time with allowances.

  • Hourly Rate: £15.32 per hour + allowances
  • Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, and surrounding areas
  • Job Type: Part-time

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Warden to join the Residential Services team, providing essential support to sheltered housing and community alarm clients within the Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of elderly and vulnerable people.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide monitoring and emergency response services.
  • Install and remove Lifeline alarm units.
  • Conduct routine visits to Lifeline service users.
  • Deliver a 24-hour emergency support service.
  • Respond to emergency calls and visit residents at home as needed, including out-of-hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with elderly and vulnerable individuals.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
  • Must live locally to respond promptly to emergency calls.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Hours of Work:

  • 2 x 8-hour day shifts per week (any day Monday to Saturday).
  • Each 8-hour day shift is followed by a 16-hour standby period (standby is from home).
  • The rota does not allow working on2 consecutive days due to the on call element
  • Standby payment (fixed rate):
    • £20 (Mon–Fri)
    • £30 (Saturday)
    • £50 (Sunday & Bank Holidays)
  • Out of hours callouts paid at time and a half
