Residential Property Associate – Top 100 - Oxford

A leading Top 100 firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Associate to join its busy Oxford office.

The team advises a broad mix of clients, including UK-based buyers and sellers, overseas investors, and is also on the panels of many leading mortgage lenders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to develop both technical skills and client relationships within a high-quality, well-regarded team. The role offers strong prospects for career development, along with a balanced and collaborative working culture.

The Role

You will be involved in a wide range of residential property matters, acting for buyers, sellers, and lenders on freehold and leasehold transactions. Typical responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts, deeds, letters, and reports
• Completing searches, handling Land Registry formalities, researching titles, and resolving related queries
• Managing all aspects of exchange, completion, and post-completion processes
• Advising on mortgage redemptions, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages
• Dealing with residential tenancy and licence matters
• Advising on property transactions for new developments
• Acting on secured lending matters

You will work closely with clients, building long-term relationships and providing clear, commercially focused advice. While part of a large real estate group spanning several offices, you will be based in Oxford and develop your own profile in the local market.

Hybrid working is supported, typically with 2–3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

We are looking for a solicitor with:

• 4–5 years’ PQE in residential property work
• A strong general property background with solid transactional experience
• Excellent client and matter management skills, with the ability to manage your own caseload
• Confident, personable communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience of business development and growing client relationships
• Strong IT proficiency and organisational skills
• Motivation and a proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership of matters
