Job summary

A regional firm of solicitors is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to provide guidance on all aspects of the conveyancing process. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of residential conveyancing experience, including new builds, and should be organized with a methodical approach. Excellent communication skills are essential. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience as a fee earner in residential conveyancing.
• Experience in handling a caseload of transactions from inception to completion.
• Attention to detail and organized working methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on the conveyancing process to clients.
• Liaise with various stakeholders like estate agents and mortgage lenders.
• Draft documentation related to the conveyancing transaction.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a highly regarded and established firm of solicitors. The successful applicant must have at least two years previous experience as a fee earner within residential conveyancing and new build experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to clients, by email, telephone or in face to face meetings, on all aspects of the conveyancing process.
• Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, Land Registry and third party solicitors.
• Draft documentation supporting the conveyancing transaction, including advice notes, letters and other post completion and registration documents.

Person Requirements

• At least two years residential conveyancing experience essential.
• New build experience essential.
• Experience of handling a caseload of conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
• Experience of using a case management system together with practical knowledge and use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
• A polite, cheerful attitude, particularly when meeting clients.
• A committed and self‑motivated individual who can work as part of a professional, friendly team.
