Overview

Residential Children’s Practitioner (Residential & Crisis Support) | 8715 | Casual Contract | £13.68 per hour plus sleep in allowance, weekend and bank holiday enhancements | Grade E | Countywide

Would you like to make a difference to the most vulnerable children in care and help them flourish and achieve their potential?

Responsibilities
  • Following a thorough induction and training programme, duties include:
    • Supporting, mentoring and educating our children in day-to-day activities to develop their emotional and social needs by building positive relationships.
    • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living.
    • Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development.
    • Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of ongoing development.
    • Managing complex behaviour that can be challenging.
    • Holding or being willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care (paid for).
