Job summary

A leading robotics company in Grantham is seeking a Resident Maintenance Engineer to perform maintenance and repairs on automated machinery. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background, will be trained in automated systems, and must communicate effectively with clients. Resident Maintenance Engineer, Grantham

Working rotating 12 hours days and nights. Excellent company benefits to include private health care and company contributory pension scheme.

The Role – Resident Maintenance Engineer
  • Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; vertical lifts; monorail system and a deep freeze high bay.
  • Working in a cold environment (-18 degrees)
  • To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Prioritise system faults.
  • To ensure quality of output at all times.
  • To accurately record all work undertaken.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
The Person – Resident Maintenance Engineer
  • An apprentice trained Electrical or Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with automated machinery is ideal, however it is not essential as training will be provided.
  • Happy to work at heights.
  • This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of working with a CMMS system.
