Resident Engineer

Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a global market leader within the Energy from Waste sector, together we are looking to recruit a Resident Engineer to ensure service agreements are successfully delivered.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Represent client interests on‑site by ensuring all long‑term service agreement commitments are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Plan, manage, and execute annual outages, scheduled maintenance, and urgent repair activities.
  • Work closely with the client to coordinate operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.
  • Monitor site operations for safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; assist in investigating incidents and near‑misses.
  • Provide technical expertise, equipment recommendations, and maintenance guidance to ensure LTSA deliverables meet contractual obligations.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and supplier coordination to achieve cost‑effective and timely maintenance execution.
  • Collaborate with warranty, service, and account management teams to maintain clear scope boundaries and ensure seamless delivery of all services.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in plant service, operations, or maintenance—ideally within energy, power generation, or process plant environments.
  • Proven experience managing LTSAs or similar service contracts, with strong technical and commercial understanding.
  • Solid background in outage planning, execution, and contractor management.
  • Strong working knowledge of HSEQ regulations and safety leadership in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills; confident liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
