Job description
Overview

As a band 5 research nurse you will provide specialist research and clinical care to research participants within your team's study portfolio. You will assist in the management, coordination and implementation of research programmes and you will help to provide clinical supervision to other staff and students. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other research teams to deliver research studies. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in quality initiatives including audits and projects. You will report to your band 6/7 line manager and then to the band 8 research matron.

  • Assist in the management, coordination and implementation of research programmes.
  • Provide clinical supervision to other staff and students.
  • Collaborate with other research teams to deliver research studies.
  • Be involved in quality initiatives including audits and projects.

  • Travel between different clinical locations as studies are delivered across a variety of settings.
Qualifications and Skills
  • NMC registered nurse with experience in relevant clinical specialities.

  • Ability to demonstrate organisation, initiative and prioritisation.
