A leading human resources firm based in Penarth is seeking a Research Assistant to support various research projects. The role involves data collection, analysis, and documentation, ensuring that research activities adhere to ethical standards. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and possess strong analytical and communication skills. This position offers an initial contract of up to one year, with the potential for renewal based on performance.
The Research Assistant supports research projects by assisting with data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting. The role works closely with project leads and stakeholders to ensure research activities are conducted accurately, ethically, and on schedule.
Assist in the design and implementation of research studies
Conduct literature reviews and data collection (e.g. surveys, interviews, administrative data)
Support data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation of findings
Maintain research documentation and databases in accordance with project requirements
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research outputs
Coordinate logistics for research activities, meetings, and workshops
Ensure compliance with research ethics and data protection guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related discipline
Prior research experience (academic, policy, or applied research) preferred
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with statistical or qualitative analysis software is an advantage (e.g. SPSS, R, Stata, NVivo)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Up to 1-year contract position, subject to renewal based on performance and organisational needs
Successful candidates may be required to undergo background or security checks
