A Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Renal Transplant Recipient Coordinator Team in a role which is both diverse and rewarding.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who can show initiative. The applicant must have worked as a band 6 or above, preferably with a background in nephrology or transplantation and have a keen interest in kidney transplantation.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team within the Renal Transplant Department in a new state of the art hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Accepting and processing kidney offers for patients on the kidney transplant waiting list.
  • Facilitating the work-up of patients to activate them on to the transplant waiting list.
  • Working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, requiring excellent communication skills and effective teamwork.
  • Involvement in local audits and keeping up to date with national guidance in transplantation, as well as developing practice locally.
