Overview
ELFT Digital Therapy (EDT) is seeking to appoint a remote-working Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to support online triage/assessment. The post is based in the UK and offers home working within an NHS IAPT environment.
This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new, completely remote IAPT service within the NHS, focused on staff wellbeing and development, delivering online and telephone triage/assessments and talking therapies.
Responsibilities
- Work remotely to complete automated online triage assessments and online/telephone triage and assessments.
- Deliver online and telephone triage/assessments within service hours (8am–8pm, Monday–Friday).
- Provide care in support of the three community IAPT services in the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT).
- Participate in regular online video groups and 1‑to‑1 meetings to encourage interaction within a supportive team.
- Engage in supervision, line-management, bespoke CPD, and use NICE-guided, low-intensity interventions when appropriate.
- Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
- Contribute to the development of clinical expertise in appropriate clinical areas within a remote IAPT framework.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or equivalent in an IAPT setting is desirable.
- Good computer literacy and excellent time management.
- Friendly telephone manner and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Aware of common mental health presentations and understanding of the stepped care model within IAPT primary care talking therapies.
- Commitment to flexible working arrangements, including a late online evening clinic per week (12pm–8pm).
About EDT and Working Environment
- EDT delivers psycho-educational and low‑intensity therapeutic interventions remotely via video, telephone, and typed text-based sessions, following NICE guidance.
- The service uses IAPTUS and Microsoft Teams to provide high-quality interventions across London and the Home Counties.
- In-house supervision and management, bespoke CPD, and ongoing support are provided as part of NHS employment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and development.
