Job Title: Remote Payroll & HR Assistant (100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time
Salary:$1,500 - 1,800 USD/month depending on experience paid via Wise or Payoneer
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific with 1-hr lunch
Job Overview:
The Accounting & HR Assistant will provide critical day-to-day support in their back office, helping to manage core accounting processes, payroll administration, and HR coordination. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and takes pride in precision, consistency, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
  • Accounting Duties
    • Process vendor invoices, cut checks, and track payment status across our property portfolio.
    • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Help manage rent collection reporting and expense tracking via property management software (such as AppFolio or similar).
    • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Payroll & HR Duties
    • Administer bi-weekly or monthly payroll for internal team and on-site staff.
    • Track hours, time-off requests, and PTO balances.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
    • Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes—prepare offer letters, collect documentation, and ensure all HR systems are up to date.
    • Support benefits administration, including enrollments and employee inquiries.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state employment/payroll laws.
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, and HR administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting and HR software (QuickBooks & ADP).
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and G Suite.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and highly organized.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
