Job Title: Remote Material Estimator (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,200 - 1,500 USD/month depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Mountain Time

Our client is a leading contracting company specializing in the design, supply, and installation of flooring and equipment for athletic facilities across Canada. We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our client's team. This is a remote, full-time opportunity with growth potential.

The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for athletic flooring and equipment projects. Working closely with sales, project managers, and leadership, you will ensure our bids are precise, profitable, and aligned with client expectations.

Experience in athletic flooring, sports equipment, or construction estimating is a strong asset, but not required. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow with our business.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with sales and project management teams to develop winning proposals.
• Assist in value engineering and alternative solutions to optimize project costs.
• Maintain an organized database of pricing, historical project data, and vendor contacts.
• Track market trends, material pricing, and industry standards to keep estimates current.
• Support handoff of awarded projects to operations and project managers.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating (athletic facilities, flooring, or equipment is an asset).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficient with estimating software, spreadsheets (Excel), and project management tools.
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment across Canada.
