We are seeking a Relationship Manager who will work alongside and support the Primary Relationship Manager based in the UAE to acquire, maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships with UHNW / HNW clients resident in the UAE / MENA Region in line with our Cross Border rules. The role is based in London, and some travel may be required.

Role and responsibilities
  • Grow revenue, increase AUM of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, internal collaboration channels through GPB and other HSBC Lines of Business and RM's own referral network.
  • Have regular contact and meetings with clients and providers of new business introductions. Depending on client preferences, the RM will work independently and/or with the Global Relationship Managers based in the UAE to identify, onboard and service GPB UAE clients on their UK related wealth requirements.
  • Work with the Investment Specialist to ensure the client's objectives are met through portfolio allocation, review portfolios on a regular basis and develop the client's profitability.
  • Identify the client's financial planning needs and make introductions to the Wealth Planning (WP) and Strategic Financial Planning (SFP) teams.
Qualifications
  • RDR Level 4 qualification is a minimum requirement of the role with the requirement to achieve Level 6 within 12 months of joining.
  • Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management and new client acquisition specifically with clients in the Middle East & North Africa segment.
  • Track record of building successful relationships with both an internal and external referral network.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, complex wealth management solutions including lending solutions, and the regulatory environment in the UK.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic - desirable.
