Overview

Join the Pride Team as a Procedure Nurse. Deliver gold-standard care in a dynamic, specialist-led environment. If you are a passionate RVN looking to take the next step in your clinical career, Scarsdale Veterinary Group is looking for a Procedure Nurse to join our dedicated team at Scarsdale Vets at Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby.

Responsibilities

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality veterinary care across multiple areas of the hospital. You’ll:

  • Assist with anaesthesia, inpatient care, procedures, diagnostics and imaging
  • Perform Schedule 3 procedures under veterinary direction to broaden your clinical skill set and autonomy
  • Work with advanced diagnostic tools including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and lab diagnostics
  • Support the hospital’s day-to-day operations, contributing to stock control, equipment maintenance and efficient team workflows
  • Benefit from CPD encouragement and ongoing development with training and support
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a qualified RVN, ideally with at least one year of post-registration experience. You’ll need to be confident working independently and demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing protocols. While experience in advanced imaging is a plus, we offer full training and support to help you thrive. Additional qualifications or certificates are welcome but not essential.

Hours and working pattern

This is a full-time role averaging 38 hours per week. You’ll work across four weekdays and take part in a one-in-six weekend rota. Shifts vary between 7:30am and 7:00pm with the occasional Twilight shift which is 3pm-12am.
