Qualifications

Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Diagnostics

Location: North Downs Specialist Referrals

Job Type: Part Time, Permanent

Hours: 25.16 hours per week on average

Salary: From - £31,500 pro rata depending on experience

Your role and responsibilities

As part of the Diagnostics team, you will work closely with fellow RVNs, Nursing Assistants, Radiographers, Radiologists, Interns, Residents, and Anaesthetists on an interesting and varied caseload. You will nurse patients on their journey through our diagnostic department which comprises an extensive range of investigative modalities including CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy and Electromyography/retinography.

You will have the opportunity to utilise a wide range of nursing skills for which you have trained, as your involvement will include patients who are conscious, sedated, and anaesthetised.

You must be enthusiastic, flexible, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Having high levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential, together with being committed to providing high standards of service.

You do not need previous referral experience to apply for this position. You will receive a comprehensive induction to ensure you are well supported in this role.

This is a part time (average 25.16 hours per week), permanent position with shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, alternating weeks of 8.30am-5.30pm and 10am to 7pm. This will include a 1:6 Saturday rotation where you will be able to nurse patients in a Ward environment.

You must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work
  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK
