Job description

We're supporting a learning disabilities leading care provider, looking for a Registered Service Manager (Supported Living) in Oxford to oversee the Support Team, working alongside the Regional Manager.

As a role model, you'll be responsible for delivering the highest standard of personal support, promoting independence and choice to the people supported, in a culture of dignity and wellbeing.

Applicants must have experience of supporting people with complex learning disabilities and must be a driver with access to a car and be prepared to travel as needed for training and meetings. You will also need knowledge of CQC regulations and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care OR have the ability to achieve this within 18 months of commencement.

Your role will involve:
  • Directly line manage a team of Team Leaders and Support Workers across several sites
  • Providing regular supervisions, appraisals and inductions
  • Ensuring quality and compliance is maintained within the locations, including regular finance audits, updating support plans, risk assessments and facilitating person centred plan meetings
  • Assessing and reviewing existing and new support contracts
  • Providing on-call support where required
  • Building and retaining positive relationships with internal and external partners, As a Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. We provide 24/7 support to some people, so you will need to have flexibility to work shifts on a rota'd basis, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
