A major NHS healthcare provider in Colchester is looking for a Urology Nurse for the Urology Day Unit. This role involves assisting with patient care, urology procedures, and learning new specialized skills. Are you passionate about delivering high quality care? Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and looking to work in a fast paced environment? Look no further! Colchester Hospital has an opportunity for a Urology Nurse in our Urology Day Unit (UDU).
In this post you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Urology specialty and learn new extended skills. This will include undertaking urology nursing skills, for example, assisting in flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsies, lithotripsy, running nurse-led clinics such as trial without catheter (TWOC), intermittent self-catheterisation/dilatation (ISC/ISD) teaching in Colchester under the direction of the Urology Nurse Practitioners.
You will have the full support of experienced urology nurses who are willing to support you to meet your training needs. You will also be supported to reach the competence required to help deliver the urology service and to develop your clinical skills to enhance your patient care.
