Our hospital provides inpatient, ambulatory, emergency, neonatal and outpatient care across a broad range of paediatric specialties.
We are recruiting an experienced paediatric registered nurse (Band 5) to join the team and contribute to high-quality, child/young person and family-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Promote and implement practice conducive to high-quality child/young person and family-centred care.
- Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership on the ward/department.
- Take charge of the Ward/Department in the absence of the Ward/Departmental Sister/Charge Nurse and provide support and guidance to all staff.
- Participate in delivering a safe, compassionate healthcare service and model NNUH’s PRIDE values.
- Maintain Continuous Professional Development in line with Trust policy and professional bodies.
- Complete the mentorship preparation programme, act as a mentor and provide supervision to junior staff and other learners.
- Support in career development and contribute to safe and effective team functioning.
Requirements
- Paediatric registered nurse, Band 5 level (or equivalent) with motivation and experience in a general paediatric ward environment.
- Ability to lead in the absence of senior staff and to mentor others.
- Commitment to high-quality, safe and patient-centred care and alignment with PRIDE values.
