Overview

We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Cambridge who want to use and to build upon their clinical skills and knowledge as a PIP OR WCA Functional Assessor. The role is full time, hybrid (office and home working) in Cambridge, with hours Monday to Friday 9 – 5. Salary: £37,500 (PIP) - £40,000 (WCA) per year plus bonus scheme and benefits.

Starting Salary: £37,500 (PIP) - £40,000 (WCA) + bonus scheme and benefits. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Cambridge. Hours: Monday to Friday 9 – 5. You will undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP OR ESA benefits and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.

  • Assess how a disability affects a customer’s day-to-day life and performing work-related activities.
Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
  • The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.

  • Salary: £37,500 (PIP) - £40,000 (WCA) per year plus bonus scheme and benefits.
  • £1000 salary uplift after your first 6 months and a further £1000 salary uplift after 12 months.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor.
  • Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week working at a consultation centre.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holiday and the option to purchase up to five additional days.
