Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for acting as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf. Your focus will be to ensure high standards of care for the residents, including undertaking nursing tasks, advising families and GPs of any changes in condition, and effectively deploying and supervising the care team.

Job responsibilities
  • Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
