Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Coach and guide the team, delivering formal and informal teaching for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carry out assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Monitor areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with standards, policies, and legislation.
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin; manage the unit alongside clinical duties, including oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the team.
  • Experience in maintaining high clinical standards and implementing policies and best practices.
  • Ability to provide clinical guidance to care teams and support CQC tasks.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building with residents and their families.
  • Effective handover of clinical issues to team members and health professionals.
  • Night shifts may require enhanced skills, independent working, strong critical thinking, and calm decision-making in emergencies.
