Are you passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care? Do you have the leadership skills to inspire a team and drive continuous improvement? Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our Shared Lives Service.

About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

• Lead the Shared Lives team, ensuring safe, effective and high‑quality service delivery in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines and sector best practice.
• Develop and maintain robust quality assurance and performance monitoring systems.
• Oversee recruitment, induction and ongoing support for Shared Lives Carers, ensuring they are equipped to provide outstanding care.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, carers, commissioners and other professionals to ensure the needs of individuals and carers are met.
• Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across the service.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in managing and leading a CQC‑regulated social care service, ideally within a Shared Lives setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, MCA/DOLS and the regulatory frameworks underpinning adult social care.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff and carers.
• Excellent communication, organisational and partnership‑building skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and eligibility to register with the CQC as a Registered Manager.
• Awareness of and commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and data protection.
