We are looking for a Registered Manager (Off shift) for a 3 Bed EBD home in Oswestry, SY11.
Salary and Hours
- Salary: £52,650 per year with OTE up to an extra £9K in bonuses based on staff retention, Ofsted rating, and manager longevity. Total OTE can reach £61,650.
- Additional commitment: £5,000 on the base rate after 5 years of service, potentially raising the base to £57,650 - £66,650.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a requirement to be available on call as part of the RM team.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of running the home, ensuring children and young people’s needs are met in accordance with the Statement of Purpose.
- Ensure each young person has a comprehensive plan covering care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Regularly review placement plans.
- Allocate a Key Worker for each young person responsible for implementing the childcare plan.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and competency to meet the home’s needs.
- Effectively manage budgets and monitor all financial use.
- Handle conduct and competence issues of staff, including fact‑finds, disciplinary and grievance hearings, appeals, and all employment‑law processes.
- Attend all mandatory training events in line with regulatory requirements and company policy.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence; able to drive as required for the children’s and young people’s needs.
- Enhanced DBS certificate with child and adult barred‑list check.
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory or management roles within residential childcare.
