I am recruiting on behalf of a respected client who is opening a new Residential Children’s Home in Kent. We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager with a strong track record in leading children’s homes and successfully registering new services with Ofsted.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader who wants to build a high-quality home from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registering a brand-new Children’s Home with Ofsted.
  • Leading the operational setup and ongoing management of the home.
  • Recruiting, supervising and developing the staff team.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Maintaining excellent safeguarding standards and ensuring positive outcomes for young people.
  • Managing budgets, resources, audits and policies.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, child-focused environment.
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience registering a new service with Ofsted (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations and care standards.
  • Experience managing staff within a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.
