Job description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Registered Children's Home Manager to take the lead at a respected, well-resourced adolescent home in Barnsley, supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a £51,400 base salary, plus generous Ofsted and occupancy bonuses, and on-call payments. With the potential to earn significantly above base through performance-linked rewards, this position is perfect for an ambitious care leader ready to make an impact.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home's operation - from compliance and staffing, to safeguarding and placement stability. You\'ll work closely with local authorities, therapists, families, and internal teams to ensure that each child receives high-quality, consistent care in a trauma-informed setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a children\'s residential home

Qualifications and Experience

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in managing or deputising in a children\'s home
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and complex behaviours
• Confident in leading teams and managing performance
• Experience with Ofsted inspections and action planning
• Full UK driving licence
• Resilient, child-focused, and highly organised
