Working closely with colleagues across the North American Sales Team, the Regional Sales Associate will contribute to territory success through prospecting for new and dormant business, existing customer engagement, sales pipeline development, and execution of a defined sales strategy.

This role is well suited to a motivated, early-career sales professional with a strong interest in the humanities or academic publishing. It offers the opportunity to build commercial experience in a global sales environment while developing long-term customer relationships and contributing directly to AM’s growth.

This role will be based at AM’s UK headquarters with the rewarding opportunity to travel to the US approximately four times per year, each trip lasting around two weeks. AM operates a flexible working hours policy, but the role requires a willingness to work some weekly hours compatible with US time zones.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new and dormant business, engage with existing customers, develop the sales pipeline, and execute a defined sales strategy in collaboration with the North American Sales Team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. Arts, Humanities, History, Literature).
  • Some experience in a customer-facing or sales role (internship, graduate scheme, or entry-level).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and apply consultative selling techniques.
  • Ability to work flexibly to accommodate US time zones where needed, and willingness to travel approximately 8 weeks per year in the US.
What We Offer You In Return
  • A highly competitive salary and OTE
  • 25 days’ annual leave rising to 30 days with the option to purchase or sell annual leave
  • Life assurance covering four times annual basic salary
  • Private health insurance, a Health Cash Plan and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Health and wellbeing benefits including online fitness classes and corporate massages
  • Mobile phone allowance and a Working from Home stipend
  • Pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution
