General responsibilities of the Regional Planning Managers are to develop and implement hiring strategies for existing and prospective projects, ensure the resources assigned to projects are qualified, trained and receive career development support. Will interface directly with Project Managers and other leaders ensuring that planning & scheduling on proposals and active projects is carried out with the highest level of quality and procedural compliance.

This position will be based in Infrastructures London office and will provide oversight to the United Kingdom/Ireland and Europe Regions.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership"

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develops the planning & scheduling strategy and staffing plans required to manage projects including providing direction to project planning teams and other project controls professionals as needed depending on size and scope of the project.
  • Provides oversight and guidance of Planning & Scheduling requirements in conjunction with other core programs i.e., engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, in accordance with applicable Project Controls Department procedures.
  • Develops, interprets, and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to schedule control, schedule risk management and analysis activities.
  • Conduct project site visits and conducting readiness assessments, engaging with customers on specific project planning requirements and resolving issues that range from technical project decisions to resource planning.
  • Reviews all schedule related information in proposals and active projects including providing support and direction to proposal and project teams in adherence to established planning & scheduling procedures and work instructions.
  • Provides functional planning support to all PC employees assigned to United Kingdom/Ireland and Europe Regions projects.
  • Coordinates with employees on next assignments and demobilizations.
  • Supports career development and conducts standard training as needed. Provides performance feedback and completes annual employee rating calibration.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree from accredited university
  • Ideally you will have extensive experience in Planning & Scheduling, preferably directing other supervisors and managers in execution of PC responsibilities.
  • Expert level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience in directing planning & scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
  • Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory, and personnel administrative functions. Includes providing performance feedback to management and individuals.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, solving problems and enabling decision‑making.
  • Experience in translating prime contract requirements to Project Execution Plans and subcontract scope definitions
  • Experience in developing Project Delivery Strategy, work packaging and scope definitions of main works contracts
  • Experience assessing and presenting commercial impacts relative to cost and schedule
  • Expert communication skills with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
