Overview

Recruiter seeking a career change? This is a real career move joining one of the UK's largest charities, recognised as a great place to work (Investors in People / Best Company awards). The charity is expanding its current programmes across London, so there are multiple hires. The role supports vulnerable clients with mental health or physical support needs back into work. You will be trained in the IPS Employment Support model and become a careers specialist.

The charity has multiple roles across: Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon & Harrow, Hounslow, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Islington, Camden, Haringey. You will be based in one borough.

To apply: You must have spent at least 12 months in one recruitment role and be able to demonstrate the ability to hit targets. This is a full-time role.

Responsibilities
  • Support vulnerable clients with mental health or physical support needs back into work.
  • Work with a small caseload of clients (around 25) and co-create an action plan to help them return to work, with ongoing coaching and support while considering their support needs.
  • Act as a careers specialist trained in the IPS Employment Support model.
  • Partner with NHS Trusts and health professionals to deliver integrated support.
  • Build and maintain a network of local employers to secure work opportunities for clients. This is about impact rather than sales, with no fees for employers as it is a government-funded programme.
  • Hot desk in community settings (e.g., cafés, libraries, community centres, or NHS Trusts) and meet job seekers in those environments.
  • Be part of a role where recruitment experience and entrepreneurial mindset can help you grow within a charity setting.

Assessment Day
  • Location: Shepherd\'s Bush
  • Date: 8 October
  • Format: one stage – short presentation, interview, scenario exercise; 3 hours total; morning or afternoon sessions available.
