A healthcare provider in England is seeking a specialist recovery practitioner to support post-operative patients. This role involves providing high-quality care in a multidisciplinary setting, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. Ideal candidates should possess RGN or ODP qualifications and have strong communication skills. To act as a specialist recovery practitioner, supporting patients post operatively covering services such as elective surgery, emergency and maternity.
Is accountable for the provision, organisation and delivery of patient care within the sphere of responsibility and assessed competencies. The post holder will provide and assist with the development of safe patient care post operatively, working across the Bedfordshire NHS Foundation Trust Theatres/Maternity and community trust in the laser unit, OMF, MRI, and assist in acute pain management. He/she also provides effective mentorship and supervision, participating in the education and training of nursing staff. To ensure safe, efficient timely individualised care is delivered in line with local and national targets.
