Join Our Manchester Team as a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join our Criminal Justice team in Manchester Service. This role includes working in local prisons, one-to-one key work, delivering group work programmes, case management and working closely with our partner agencies, particularly police, prisons, probation and courts. Ensuring people accessing CGL services via the criminal justice system can improve and change their lives and reduce reoffending.

Where: Manchester

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience (Based on full time hours, Pro Rata if part time)

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with National Probation service and other appropriate agencies
  • Deliver DRR/ATR and other relevant interventions in line with National Probation Service (NPS) and court order requirements.
  • Provide a seamless link between probation, police/court custody suites, prison, and the community.
  • Provide assessment and information for courts and other criminal justice agencies of suitability for specialist interventions
  • Facilitate and be included within individualised care planning and reviews with partners and service users for the most appropriate support
  • To ensure that record keeping and feedback is completed to a high standard and within time scales; and information governance/sharing policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions to reduce disengagement, reduce harm and associated criminality.
  • Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
What we are looking for:
  • The ability to obtain and maintain MOJ vetting.
  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
