A special education institution in Stockport is seeking a dedicated School Receptionist to provide a welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, and staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and prior administrative experience in a school setting. This role offers a permanent, term-time contract with negotiable hours and a salary range of £26,403 – £28,142 pro rata based on term-time work.
Castle Hill High School is a special school for students aged 11–20 with significant and complex needs. The school currently has 349 students on roll. In July 2023, Ofsted judged the school to be Outstanding. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all students and aim to prepare them for the world of work and to develop positive attitudes and values.
All students have Education Health and Care Plans. Needs include communication and social interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties, and autistic spectrum disorder.
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional individual to join our team as a School Receptionist. As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, you will help create a welcoming and supportive environment in a busy school office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks.
Hours and terms: Ideally 35–37 hours per week (hours to be negotiated at interview). Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only. Salary: Scale 4, points 7–11 (£26,403 – £28,142 FTE). Salary will be pro rata to term-time hours.
