Do you have the ability to multi task and have word processing and proven clerical/administrative experience? Are you a good communicator able to work within a small team using their own initiative? Then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for a hard-working, organised individual who displays a positive attitude towards work whose key responsibilities will include reception, call centre and clinic prep duties and administrative tasks where accuracy is essential.

Your role will be to deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Heart and Chest clinic, providing a high standard of front line customer care and a lead point of contact for patients regarding complaints and queries, always displaying empathy and diplomacy.

Main duties of the job
  • You will need the ability to prioritise your own workload, using own judgement to action and escalate as appropriate emails/correspondence to supervisor/manager, prioritising clinically urgent appointments according to clinical guidance and according to Trust policy and deal with general enquiries and appointment queries face to face and by telephone from staff, patients, and the general public in a courteous, confidential and sensitive manner with tact and diplomacy.
  • Promoting good relations and the public image of the department whilst providing efficient and open communication with your team, adhering to administration procedures and generate appointments ensuring compliance with processes, procedures, policies and governance requirements in order to provide a safe, professional, efficient, cost effective and comprehensive service.
  • You will work closely with departmental supervisors/managers in order to understand the team priorities on a day-to-day basis, processing clinic outcomes on our PAS system in a timely manner, process new referrals internally and externally via ERS, printing and distributing in a timely manner and support any other administrative task within the clerical team.
