A local healthcare practice in Liverpool is looking for a full-time Reception/Care Navigation team member. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include managing appointment systems, assisting patients, and supporting clinical staff. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be motivated, and have experience in public-facing roles. A flexible attitude toward working hours is also essential, with training provided for all necessary tasks.
Rock Court Surgery has an opportunity for a full time member of staff within our Reception/Care Navigation team. Experience of General Practice is desirable but not essential as training will be given. We are looking for 30-32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within the hours of 12:30 - 18:30 and Thursday being 12:30-8pm.
Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointment system.
Care navigation at front desk, telephone and online requestsfor appointments.
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealingwith the callers request appropriately
Signpost patients to the correct service
Initiating contact with and responding to, requests frompatients, team members and external agencies
Photocopy documentation as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records asnecessary
Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance /solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area always
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staff with general tasks asrequested
Rock Court Surgery has 2 senior partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1ANP, 1Practice nurse, 1 Nurse associate, 1 HCA and 7 reception/admin teammembers. Our Practice list size is approximately 5600.
The practice is part of the iGPc Primary Care Network whichincludes 7 other Practices. As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists(prescribing and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, care co-ordinators,social prescribers, paramedics and First Contact Physiotherapists.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception/carenavigation duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinaryteam. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directingpatients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments,processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as thecentral point of contact for patients, the distribution of information,messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinaryteam members and external agencies such as secondary care and community serviceproviders
