Northcote, a distinguished country house hotel nestled in the heart of Langho, is renowned for its luxurious accommodations, Michelin-starred dining, and exceptional guest experiences. Following its recent acquisition by The Ellis family, we are embarking on an exciting period of growth, with ambitious expansion plans underway.

As Our Receptionist, You Will Be Responsible For
  • Providing a warm, friendly, and efficient welcome to all arriving guests.
  • Managing the check-in and check-out process with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handling telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately.
  • Managing guest reservations and ensuring accuracy of booking information.
  • Responding to guest enquiries and requests promptly and professionally, both in person and via phone/email.
  • Providing information about the hotel facilities, local area, and attractions.
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving any issues effectively and with empathy.
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate billing information.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required.
  • Working collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
What We Are Looking For
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport.
  • A professional and well-presented appearance.
  • A warm, friendly, and welcoming personality.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Good IT skills and experience with hotel booking systems (knowledge of specific systems is advantageous but not essential).

  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role within the hospitality industry is desirable.
Hours - 40 per week - including evenings and weekend.
