A healthcare provider in Torquay is seeking a Reception Health Navigator to serve as a first point of contact for patients, handling appointments and enquiries with professionalism. This role offers the opportunity for training in a dynamic environment and requires strong communication skills. Experience in a medical or office setting is beneficial but not required.
To provide patients with a polite, helpful and efficient first point of contact. Take responsibility of organising and booking clinicians telephone and procedure appointments in a competent manner. Ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled in the highest possible professional basis. To report to the Reception Team Lead as necessary.
Making and altering appointments for our patients using Emis Web computer system.
Sorting outpatient enquiries on the telephone and face to face
Giving out prescriptions to patients and liaising with the prescribing team with any prescription queries
Filing of letters and results in patient notes
Entering results data on the computer
Giving test results to patients ensuring accuracy
Giving general advice to patients
Liaising with hospitals and other members of the primary health care team and outside agencies
Arranging hospital transport
Registering new patients, temporary and immediately necessary
Processing samples and completing forms/labels ready to go off to the laboratory
Taking payments for medical examinations, private consultations, letters and medical reports
Transferring calls to different departments
Photocopying
Training: Resuscitation and other online training
We are a large, dynamic, forward thinking practice with a growing population based over two sites one in Paignton/Torquay in South Devon. With over 100 staff including 26 GP\'s, a large team of Nurses, Admin and Reception Teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Observe if clinics are running late and advise patients waiting and offer apologies
