Role Information

Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Manager to lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors working across multiple projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial management, ensuring robust cost control, contractual compliance, and effective team leadership while reporting directly to the Commercial Lead.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors across several framework projects.
• Manage cost planning, forecasting, reporting, and commercial risk across projects.
• Support the Commercial Lead with strategic commercial input and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with framework, client, and organisational commercial procedures.
• Attend and contribute to commercial and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must have local nuclear knowledge within Cumbria.
• Promote best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement across the QS team.
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying Manager or Senior QS role.
• Demonstrable experience working on projects within large, multi-project frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, specifically Option A (Lump Sum) and Option C (Target Cost).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

Security Clearance

UK National Security Vetting Status - Ability to gain SC Clearance.
