Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer (Pricing & Data Analysis) – Hybrid - Reading (flexible working)

Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer to join our projects team, working on major renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This role will focus on cost estimating, pricing analysis, and data driven decision making to ensure financial integrity and project success.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Manage budgets, monitor performance, and provide cost forecasts
  • Review and analyse contractor bids and pricing proposals
  • Conduct data analysis to identify risks, trends, and savings opportunities
  • Support project teams with cost reporting and risk management
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, or project controls
  • Strong background in cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel skills (dashboards, pivot tables, cost models)
  • Experience reviewing contractor bids and managing financial data
  • Background in large-scale infrastructure, construction, or energy projects
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
