About the Project

The Shore Group are working with a Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, seeking a Quantity Surveyor in the Hertforshire area.

Joining the business to support a major £70m Sports & Leisure development at a School in the Hertfordshire area. This impressive 3‑year scheme includes mixed concrete and steel frame structures, Corium cladding, and high‑quality swimming pools and sports halls.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial function of this project. You will be office‑based until April 2026 and will report directly to the Project Commercial Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all commercial and cost‑management aspects of the project
• Assist with procurement, subcontract management, valuations, and reporting
• Ensure effective cost control and contract administration in line with JCT requirements
• Work collaboratively with project and site teams to maintain programme and budget targets

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a Tier 1 contractor at QS level
• Background in sports, leisure, or similar complex builds is desirable
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
• Excellent commercial awareness, communication, and reporting skills
