Job summary

A reputable construction firm is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a role focused on £4 million dry lining projects in Greater London. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, preparing cost valuation reports, and working on payments and orders. Candidates should have experience in facades or dry lining, demonstrate career stability, and possess strong time management skills. This is an office-based position with some site visits. The client is looking to interview and start candidates quickly.

Qualifications

The Role
  • A superb opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to work on £4 million of dry lining projects.
  • Working for a family run sub‑contractor.
  • In particular working on facades, partitions, plastering and dry lining.
  • Responsibilities include: procuring sub contractors/suppliers, managing sub contractors, variations, working on cost valuation reports, putting payments and orders on the system.
  • Exciting opportunity to increase your experience with great clients and progression within a successful company.
  • This is an office based job, with some time spent visiting sites.
The Candidate

Key attributes of the candidate include:

  • It is essential to have some experience working in facades, plastering, partitions, ceilings or dry lining.
  • It is necessary to have shown career stability.
  • It is highly beneficial to have worked for a sub‑contractor.
  • It is highly beneficial to have worked in dry lining.
  • Possibly a Quantity Surveying qualification.
  • Organised, with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Can adapt to different tasks quickly, efficiently and confidently.
  • Interpret information and instructions correctly and carry out tasks accordingly.

The candidate must have some recent UK experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
