Overview

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the major contracts team at a well‑established, award‑winning design, build and reactive maintenance company with offices in Doncaster, Nottingham and London working across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Take accurate and informative briefing notes from clients to allow for robust pricing.
  • Produce accurate Bills of Quantities and Scope of Works.
  • Subcontract and supplier procurement, including detailed analysis.
  • Produce and update procurement tracker.
  • Preparation and issue of contracts.
  • Liaise and negotiate with external and internal customers.
  • Monitor, capture and agree variations in line with contract requirements.
  • Produce valuations in line with contract requirements.
  • Monitor, measure and report key profit opportunities and concerns.
  • Monitor and close waste gaps on projects.
  • Produce and maintain accurate CVRs.
  • Concept to completion project costing, including estimating through to final account and CVR reporting, effective subcontract and supplier management and project contract responsibilities.
  • Invoicing reconciliation and approval.
  • Work closely with intercompany departments throughout the project process.
  • Production of accurate and timely final accounts.
  • Complete full project tenders when applicable.
  • Update Concorde Project Portal information.
  • Keep folders up to date on the company Egnyte server.
  • Hybrid remote role; expected to attend the Doncaster head office 2 days per week.
  • Regular site visits.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 3 years quantity surveying experience in a construction‑based role.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and IT systems.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Confident capable team player with an approachable demeanour.
  • Can‑do attitude with a positive outlook conducive to inter‑departmental synergy.
  • Good attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Strong decision‑making and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
