Overview

Blackwell Earth Moving is seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our business systems on the Sizewell C project. This is a pivotal role ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain and manage the audit and inspection schedule.

  • Ensure continued compliance with ISO9001 and other relevant accreditations.

  • Oversee document control processes across the project.

  • Develop and report on key performance indicators.

  • Document and refine core processes and procedures.

  • Own and manage the project's Non-Conformance Register.

  • Maintain and support Master ITPs/ITCs.

  • Deliver training to engineers on quality management systems.

  • Assist engineers in developing and maintaining Master ITPs/ITCs.

  • Conduct internal audits and site inspections to ensure compliance.

  • Ensure timely sign-off of completed works.

  • Lead investigations and implement Corrective Action Reports (CARs).

  • Support ongoing training and development for engineering teams.

  • Develop and manage the Project Lot Register and coordinate handovers.


Essential qualifications


  • Qualification in quality management or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of external quality management frameworks.

  • Proven experience managing quality systems within NEC contract environments.

  • Collaborative, open-minded, and resilient approach to team working.

  • Ability to earn and maintain the respect of peers and stakeholders.


Desirable qualifications


  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent.

  • Minimum five years' experience managing accredited quality systems.

  • Experience leading small teams effectively.

  • Background in earthworks or specialist contracting with similar operational processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint (views, lists, document libraries, metadata).

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power Platform (PowerAutomate flows, PowerApps).
