Quality Manager - Manufacturing (Northern Ireland)

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business who specialise in dry finishing processes based in Newtownabbey to recruit a Quality Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take ownership of quality management systems, ISO compliance, and environmental standards across a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards. You will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes, product integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives while leading internal and external audits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing ISO compliance and maintaining environmental standards in line with Northern Ireland legislation
  • Leading audits, investigations, and implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Monitoring and improving product quality performance metrics
  • Managing chemical control processes, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations
  • Driving improvements in quality systems and documentation
  • Line managing a Customer Coordination Administrator, supporting development and training
Essential criteria
  • Proven experience in a Quality Management role, ideally within manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and environmental legislation
  • Background in chemistry, metallurgy, or a related technical field
  • Experience managing quality systems and handling non-conformances
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Desirable
  • Experience within powder coating, chemical processing, or aluminium finishing
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
