Quality Inspector - Precision Engineering Poole

We are assisting one of our precision engineering clients in the Poole area with their search for an experienced Quality Inspector.

Overview

As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our client's reputation for high quality output. Working within a fast-paced CNC machining environment, you'll be responsible for ensuring components meet exacting standards through rigorous inspection processes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using manual and digital measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, CMM, shadowgraph, etc.).
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to validate dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
  • Document non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Liaise with production teams to uphold quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain inspection records and contribute to ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a quality inspection role within precision engineering or CNC machining.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with a range of inspection tools and techniques.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
