Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in a machine shop or similar environment.
• Proficient with a range of metrology equipment.
• Strong understanding of Quality and Process management tools.

Responsibilities

• Observe the non-conformance process and take corrective actions.
• Visually inspect finished goods for compliance to specifications.
• Drive quality improvement through KPI updates.

We are now recruiting for a Quality Inspector to measure and visually inspect components and assemblies to drawing using a variety of metrology equipment.

You will visually inspect welds, validate components and assemblies and ensure any defects and features not to specification are recorded.

Responsibilities

• Observe the non-conformance process and taking corrective actions, ensuring root cause is established to correct errors and prevent future occurrences.
• Visually inspect finished goods to ensure compliance to specification.
• Being the champion for ensuring the required quality standard is delivered to our customers.
• Working with various individuals and teams to improve processes to manufacture our products right the first time.
• Updating KPI's and metrics to drive quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience working to ISO 9001.
• At least 3 years' experience working in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
• A strong understanding of Quality and Process management tools and methodology.
• Experience of using CMM or Faro Arm devices and proficient with a range of metrology equipment typically used in machine shop environments.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes.
• Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry.
• Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
