Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Basildon is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to ensure that every component meets high standards. The role includes providing quality support, conducting inspections, and participating in business improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have experience in regulated environments and can interpret engineering drawings. This is a night shift position from Monday to Friday with competitive pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Detail-driven and able to ensure quality standards.
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing is a bonus.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Skills

We’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Inspectorprofessional to support both existing and new projects, ensuring every component meets the highest standards from start to finish.

If you’re passionate about doing things Right First Time and want to help drive continuous improvement, this role is for you.

Hours and Working Pattern

Monday to Thursday 19:00 to 04:00 and Friday 14:00 to 19:00

What You’ll Do
  • Provide quality and inspection support across manufacturing projects
  • Maintain quality control in line with internal standards and customer requirements
  • Verify component compliance at all production stages
  • Conduct First-Off inspections and batch work
  • Work with cross-functional teams on business improvement initiatives
  • Drive product and process enhancements
What You Bring
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace experience a bonus)
  • Skilled in using measuring equipment: verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTIs
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality control environments
  • CMM experience advantageous but not essential
  • Able to work independently and use your own initiative
