Qualifications

  • 2 years+ experience within a quality engineering function.
  • Experience in a regulated engineering background such as aerospace or medical devices.
  • Mechanical or electro-mechanical bias is preferred.

Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and creative Engineer within Quality to be a part of a pioneering industry leader, with over 60 years of experience within regulated engineering environments. Part of a company who helped write the standards for their industry and now experts in protection, safety and pressurized systems, this is an exciting opportunity for a young engineer wanting to grow and develop long-term within a business.

What is expected of you?

You'll be part of a small team consisting of another Quality engineer and Head of Quality, where you will ensure services and activities meet or even exceed the standards set across the business, working within the framework of the company's QMS.

  • Quality: Maintaining ISO9001 & IEC accreditation, being the primary POC for external auditors.
  • Cost/Efficiency: Working alongside Engineering, Sales and Production to ensure errors are kept to a minimum, taking actions when targets are not being met.
  • Lean CI: Manage and audit 5S, update KPI's and apply lean and problem-solving methods like 'Fishbone'.
What we are looking for
  • 2 years+ experience within a quality engineering function
  • Industry: regulated engineering background, e.g.: aerospace, medical device, automotive, defence
  • Mechanical/electro-mechanically biased
  • Qualifications: Engineering degree/HNC/HND / ISO9001 experience is key
  • Desirable: ATEX/IECEx experience
